Dear Gush Shalom,
I sent the letter below to the newspaper you referred to. Being anon-Israeli outside of Israel it won’t be published of course, but it addsto their pile.
If there is a specific threat to your organisation, please let me know, sothat I can alert the foreign ministers in Australia and Japan. They too willignore the issue, since I don’t live in Australia and I’m not Japanese, but I’lldo what I can.
Yours sincerely,
Philip White
Dear Editor,
Israel is committing war crimes in the Occupied Territories. Protectingthose who commit war crimes is a crime. Exposing those who commit war crimes isa duty.
In the context of the current actions of the Israeli government andmilitary, warning people not to commit war crimes is absolutely necessary, for the sake of those who become the victims of those crimes, as well as for thesake of those who might otherwise be misled into committing such crimes.
I therefore support Gush Shalom. I hope their war crime monitoring campaign actsas a deterrent to those who might otherwise commit such crimes and leads to theprosecution of those who do commit them, right up to the highest leadership inthe Israeli government.
Yours sincerely,
Philip White
