Soldiers attacked the teamand the locals with concussion grenades and dieselsmoke from the tanks. Eventually, due to thepersistence of the international team and thesteadfastness of the local population the checkpointwas opened and Palestinian traffic is going throughafter having their ID’s checked.
Beit Farik is in the midst of a water crisis and theIsraeli army has not been allowing water trucks intothe village. Internationals demanded that thisincredible human rights violation cease and water beallowed into the village. An army commandercapitulated and some trucks are going to be allowed topass.
