Just over an hour ago Israeli soldiers opened fire ona small group of children in Bethlehem’s Aida RefugeeCamp. The Israeli occupying army entered the camp, asthey do most days and nights, in jeeps, with theirtanks rumbling on the side roads. The Israeli soldierswere throwing tear gas into the camp, choking itsPalestinian residents who could not escape from theirhomes because the Israeli military had imposed curfewon them. To leave ones home means arrest or death. Agroup of Palestinian children protested the Israeliinvasion by throwing stones at the heavilyarmoured jeeps and tanks. Israeli soldiers shot thekids. One is dead. His name was Tariq Abu Jadu.Ambulances could not reach the camp. Two other kidsare still in critical condition in the hospital. Oneis 15, the other is just 12 years old. A few people inthe camp snuck out with the three to take them to thehospital. They live in a refugee camp in a Palestiniancity which suffers from Israeli invasion afterinvasion. The Israeli military government imposescurfew on them which deems attending school orliving a free life impossible. This is now the 55thyear of Israeli imposed horror on the Palestinianpeople. Grown Palestinians must ask the permission ofthe occupying military government to leave ones owntown. The Israeli government would not issue travelpermits to the Palestinian delegation to attendthe conference on the ” peace process ” in Britain.
