Beit Hanoun - May 2003

These are some images of the destruction caused by the Israeli army in Beit Hanoun,
during it's continuing incursions into the town.
Hundreds of acres of fruit trees were uprooted, and dozens of homes.
(In the Israeli media, homes are referred to as 'structures')
These are rare pictures, as the Israeli army is cracking down on any possible witness to it's actions.
during the last months, Rachel Corrie, an American peace activist was killed by an army bulldozer, and two others, Tom Hurndall and Brian Ivary,
were shot by Israeli snipers and seriously wounded.
Many reporters were killed or wounded, in order to deter others from doing their work.
Israeli peace activists are prevented from entering the territories.
